Exceedingly rare, with less than 10 on the road, according to HowManyLeft?
Facelifted model with more power under the bonnet
Custom, hand-painted flames by Hughes & Roell
Less than 30,000 miles
The Appeal
Introduced in 1997, the Plymouth Prowler is an utterly whimsical bit of experimentation from Chrysler's rather chaotic approach to the '90s. Tom Gale, Chrysler's design and international director, was obsessed with Hot Rods, and when the opportunity came to let the engineers go free-rein on a recapture of those evocative aesthetics - a sloping, sharp-featured body, dropped-back roof and a big V6 powerplant all made for something fierce and rebellious - and utterly loaded with fun.
Only a whisker over 11,000 of these remarkable hot-rods were built, and most never stepped out of the USA. There are less than ten recorded on the road in the UK, and we're fairly sure none of them look like this. This particular Prowler has a characterful, hand-painted flame finish to its paintwork, carried out by the legendary Hughes and Roell.
If you're after a truly rare modern-rockabilly groove, here's your perfect opportunity!
