The Appeal
Yes, there is the RS6. But if you want a more usable, everyday Audi super saloon, and crucially one that will fool other road users into thinking it is a regular C6, then you want a S6.
Enthusiasts continue to argue whether the S6 uses the Lamborghini 5.2L V10. We’ll just say that Audi makes both engines and they are extremely similar save for some details. Pedantry aside, the result is a viscerally quick 429bhp express that looks virtually identical to a 2.0TDI. In other words, a proper sleeper.
This 2007 S6 is a great example. Its two keepers from new have kept the mileage below 77,000 miles while staying up to date with servicing - there is a run of 11 stamps to 76,117 miles. The smart grey metallic paintwork and black Recaro interior are factory standard and show little signs of use, thanks to those keepers and typical Audi quality.
According to the seller, the car runs and drives very well. A long, advisory-free MOT until April 2025 reinforces the positive impression.
