The 1950s was a golden era for Mercedes-Benz, as the marque renewed its reputation for creating luxury vehicles. Mercedes-Benz introduced the 220 Sedan at the Frankfurt Auto Show April 1951 as the successor to the 170S. It had a number of updates, the primary of which being a streamlining of the headlight fitment. They were now faired into the fenders with chrome trim atop. However, the most significant change was under the hood, where a new 2. 2-liter six-cylinder engine replaced the earlier four-cylinder engine used in the 170S. This timeless classic Mercedes-Benz 220 Cabriolet A is sure to put a smile on the face of its next loving owner.
