Description
The Mercedes 220 S 2-seater convertible built by mercedes and commissioned from Carrozzeria Sindelfinger was introduced on the market in 1951 and remained on sale until 1955. In fact, the 220 A competed with the elegant but more sporty Italian convertibles of the time such as Lancia Aurelia and Alfa Romeo 2500.
The car offered by us was sold new in Switzerland and belonged to the same family for two generations, although it was later registered in Belgium, Italy and England.
Arrived to the present day in conditions of total conservation of the interior and bodywork, as well as the chrome moldings and the precious woods of the interior.
On the contrary, the entire mechanism has been overhauled to perfection.
The documentation of the car both from the period and from more recent times is available, as well as various invoices for maintenance work.
The car is registered in the Mercedes historical register. Obviously matching numbers and matching colors.
