Description
Only made for two years , to see a RE5 back in the mid 70s was rare, there was less than 6000 made and 70% of them went to the States, so I am told, so to find such a lovely "on the road" and registered example today that's actually for sale, not in a collection or the property of an owner that will not sell it, is exceedingly rare!
Coming to us from an enthusiast private collector ( he had 2) this 1975 example is period correct and fully functioning, even the novel "tin can" styled clock consoles rotating cover works!! Engine wise it fires up easily and makes that unique rotary noise. All the engine casings are polished and look stunning.
Paintwork is very good, too good to of not been painted I would think, but looks factory. There are a couple of small marks here and there but nothing to detract from it's overall appearance. Chrome is excellent with just a lovely touch of age to it. Basically this bike would grace any collection or private garage.
