Wow this one is for the speed freak a seriously fast and fun bike and definitely one to create a bit of envy amongst your mates. Ok the mileage is now 0 on the clocks , the bike was sold pretty much straight away and as things do in life we hit a snag , just as i was loading to deliver the beauty an electrical component failed which has resulted in a new bis unit whatever that is and consequently mileage was reset , all of our pics show the correct miles as does the video but now the clocks show 0 so if you want to put one away and show it off well here you go
Ducati Panigale V4 Speciale – A Quantum Leap
The Ducati Panigale V4 Speciale, instantly recognisable by its distinct “Tricolore” livery sets itself aside from the standard Panigale V4 and the V4 S. Please note that this version has been homologated as a single seat motorcycle.
Sharing the same engine and chassis with the Panigale V4 S, the V4 Speciale is to be produced with a limited production run of only 1500 bikes world wide. Each bike will have its own production number engraved into the distinct Speciale top yoke. The standard Speciale comes with the same Marchesini forged aluminium wheels as the V4 S model however can be upgraded at time of order to the ultra lighweight Marchesini racing magnesium alloy forged rims.
The other features that set it aside are the full Race Akrapovic exhaust system that along with the enhanced engine mapping, once fitted releases the full power potential of this engine from 214 to 226 Bhp. Carbon fibre front/ rear mudguards, Alcantara® seat, dedicated handle grips, adjustable foot pegs, carbon fibre heel guards, carbon fibre cover swinging arm, racing articulated levers, racing fuel tank cap, brake lever protection, racing screen, number plate holder removal kit, billet mirror replacement plugs, a Ducati data analyser+ GPS (DDA + GPS) and a bike cover that all come with the Speciale model.
As standard on the Panigale V4 S and the Speciale, there is Lean angle sensitive traction control and ABS, further enhanced with brand new Brembo Stylema calipers, Up and down Ducati Quick Shifter and the all new rear brake slide control system. This allows the rider to tune the bike to assist with controlled rear wheel steering. There’s also full Ducati / Ohlins electronic suspension as standard.
The 90 degree V4 engine continues to utilise the Desmodromic valve system that Ducati is so well known for. This positive valve closure does not suffer the lag issues of the conventional spring valve closure ensuring reliability all the way through it’s 14, 000 rev range.
A counter rotating crankshaft that rotates in the opposite direction to wheel rotation is a trick that has been derived on the MotoGP bikes. The utilisation of this system helps to counteract some of the gyroscopic forces created by the wheels thus enhancing turning speed capabilities. A very useful by product of this is that it also helps reduce the wheelie phenomenon suffered on hard acceleration and rear end lift under heavy rear braking.
