Description
Black with original tobacco interior which retains rubber over mats. Bought new in 1966 Rosida Tibaldi, she gave up driving in 1995 and sold it to Giorgio Prato who kept for the rest of his life.
Designed by Pininfarina in the early 60's it has a great resemblance to the Ferrari 250 GTE, SWB and the Fiat 1600S coupe, which were also designed around this time. It is beautiful from every angle, every line so clearly agonised over and yet so simple. It has an all alloy 'boxer' engine and essentially the same unique suspension as a Fulvia. Like all Lancias it's lovely to drive with light resposive steering and subline ride which would put many moderns to shame, very expensive new and therefore rare, was chosen by the discerning.
Interior,
Original in its entirety rubber floor mats, seats, door cards, dashboard etc with an air of quality only an unrestored Lancia can possess. The windows and quarterlights open and shut perfectly and there is no discernible wind noise at speed, everything but everthing works the heater, high beam flash in the steering wheel centre, the fan, clock and the electric fan which demists the rear window. Perfect apart from some tiny marks.
Engine and gearbox
Starts instantly and runs evenly with excellent oil pressure feels far more powerful than it's 92 bhp would suggest.
Gears change smoothly without any complaints from the gearbox.
Exterior,
Completely original abelt having been painted at some point but to a high standard
Accident free with every panel fitted at the factory. This car has never been restored.
Boot,
Original rubber floor mat, wheel cover and tool kit . Spare wheel in superb condition.
The car is in excellent condition and has clearly been well maintained, the only major work we've had to do was on the brakes, it had previously had a new master cylinder fitted but the servo unit also needed overhauling, which has now been done. The boot retains its original rubber mats. The car drives beautifully.
