From one of the golden eras of German automotive technology and design was produced the BMW 327. The 327 was based upon the BMW 320 saloon but with a marvellous aerodynamically streamlined and beautiful convertible body designed in conjunction with the Karosseriebauer Autenrieth of Darmstadt established in 1921. The stylish BMW 327 convertible offered sophisticated, four-seater, open top, sports touring for the elite at a level of comfort and innovation that matched anything else on the planet at the time. The much sought after 327 convertible is one of the most exclusive of all BMW classic cars.
This fantastic BMW 327 convertible shows the same serial number on engine, gearbox, and differential. Beautifully restored by Richardsons of Aubury in the traditional BMW blue and white colour scheme, it features a stunning white leather interior. The engine and gearbox have both been fully rebuilt. For ease of motoring and safety in modern traffic, the brakes and steering have been upgraded but without affecting the integrity of this classic car, and the original parts still accompany the vehicle. This 327 is in excellent condition throughout and offers a significant opportunity for a new owner to acquire one of the great BMW models from long term ownership of over 20 years, then sold in 2014 at Motorclassica Auction and formed part of extensive rare car collection till now and being sold by the estate of the family.
