Description
The TR3 is a real roadster, designed for sunny weather but with removable rain protection. It has a convertible top that clicks on and off and removable side curtains, allowing very low doors with padding for the driver's arm to rest on. There are holes in the floor with rubber plugs, so that the originally supplied jack can be used from the car, as with the Jaguar XK120. The optional heater is bad and the shutoff valve is under the hood.
Approximately 13, 377 units of the original "pre-facelift" TR3 were produced, of which 1, 286 were sold in Britain; the rest was mainly exported to the US.
The TR3 presented here is a body-off restored in the color Cottswold Blue with a red leather interior. The engine, gearbox and overdrive have been overhauled by Van Giersbergen. There are also two Weber DCOE40 carburettors, which increases the power to 126 hp. Furthermore, it has uprated disc brakes. You also have the option to register this car in the Mille Miglia because it is a matching car from 1957! There are also 4 black spoke wheels with good tires. A wonderful opportunity for the serious enthusiast
