We are pleased to bring this Lovely Austin to the market. It’s early history is unknown for sure but it appears it was imported into the uk in 1990 from New Zealand and subsequently uk registered in 1993. The history file does contain a photograph of it in forces livery, so it is possible it was ex services.
A full photographic restoration was carried out in the 1990s and it is still well presented today. There are also details of an engine rebuild around that time. The Austin bears chassis number Fr36052. It is powered by the 1596cc six cylinder engine, together with a 4 speed floor change synchromesh gearbox. It is running and driving superbly and is a pleasure to drive.
The only upgrades are the fitting of direction indicators and an electric fuel pump. The history file is fairly extensive detailing all its previous uk owners, lots of old mots, original handbook and many bills and handwritten notes
The current mileage displayed is 56452 which would assume is correct. It is fitted with excellent excelsior tyres all round including spare.
