Description
Coming to us from Holland, where we purchased it. The original owner had started with a very low mileage bike, striped it and started to rebuild it. Usual story, he ran out of money and dare i say "skill" and abandoned the project. Prior to our purchasing it the frame etc had been powder coated, the engine unit refinished externally ( he said it had been checked internally but we have no proof of this). The rather nice, aka expensive, wide Excel rims built specially for it and reshod with new tyres. Aftermarket rear shocks fitted , new seat, paintwork, handle bars, exhaust silencer, levers etc etc.
Basically he had spent a fortune on parts alone. We had to almost start again making sure everything was fitted properly, sorting out the electrics, fitted new front and rear guards, new control cables where necessary, headlight unit, indicators all round, plus a multitude of other things as well as UK registering it on an age appropriate plate.
Now it looks like the bike i imagine he wanted, starts very easily and sounds great, not to loud but definitely a big 4 stroke single. The engine itself is super quiet, but so it should be with such low kilometres, gearbox is smooth in fact out on the road it rides very nicely, no need to rev the cods off it, pulling great from low down in all gears.
So if you want something a bit different at a sensible price, try building it yourself for less, this could fit the bill. Thanks for looking. G
