Description
First registered on the 10th May 1957 to a Mrs Kathleen Goodall of Oxton, this late 100/ 6 is a now a very highly specified and upgraded example built for the road. Finished in Black with a matching Black hardtop, Black leather interior with Red carpet and Chrome wire wheels shod in Avon ZZ performance road tyres.
Fully restored by an independent Healey expert, this original right-hand drive car features a sensationally powerful engine tuned by us on our rolling road to achieve a very usable 210HP and 250 ft. lbs of torque. Power is transmitted to the wheels through a MkIII centre change overdrive 4-speed gearbox, for a more sporting drive over the earlier long throw side change box. In 2022 we further upgraded the car to include triple 2” carburettors versus the previous 1. 5” units. Built with reliability and drivability in mind this Healey is fitted with an alternator conversion for more reliable charging, electronic ignition, LED lighting plus 4-piston Willwood front disc brakes.
The enhancements of this car are not just limited to the mechanical features with the body having been significantly lightened as well. 604 XUU is fitted with a aluminium boot and bonnet, lightweight removable hardtop plus lightweight door handles. Further aesthetic changes include works-style leather boot and bonnet straps, bumper delete front and rear bumperettes. Should you wish to re-instate bumpers or remove some of the cosmetic additions this could be easily done. The chrome wire wheels were newly fitted by us in 2022.
We fitted a new black mohair hood kit in 2022 which has been seldom used. Also included is a lightweight hardtop in good condition save for some small defects however very handy for extending your Healey season into the later months of the year.
Rawles Motorsport has a long relationship with 604 XUU having previously supplied it to the current owner, servicing it continually since then.
Sold serviced with MOT, original log book, large paperwork history file, hardtop, small collection of spares, jack and hammer.
