401/ 1094 was originally dispatched to Anthony Crook Motors of Hersham, Surrey, who would go on some years down the line to be the sole distributor and owner of Bristol Cars.

In recent years 401/ 1094 has undergone large amounts of restoration work, Spencer Lane-Jones Ltd have been involved in the majority. They completely restored the engine to their renowned ‘Touring’ engine specification which features the latest Cosworth pistons and a ‘fast road’ camshaft.
