The Sportster has been part of the HD model range since 1957 and early bikes were fitted with a 900cc air-cooled V-twin
The 2001 Sportster 883 Custom is powered by an air-cooled 883cc Evolution V-Twin mated to a 5-speed gearbox and offering 50bhp and 66Nm of torque at 4, 600rpm
Traditional Harley features include the tall, chromed riser, a drag-style handlebar, a chrome bullet headlight, a laced front wheel, a disc rear wheel, a one-piece, low-profile, two-up seat, forward-mounted foot controls and low-profile rear shocks
This smart example has covered less than 9, 000 miles and presents very well
The current owner has not ridden the bike since acquiring it four years ago and it's been dry stored ever since
Confirmed running however some recommissioning may be required before returning to regular use
