Description
Chassis 001 Manufacturer: Ing. Jean-Pierre ELLENA, Route de Noalhat 63290 Puy-Guillaume - FRANCE We have a written statement from the builder JP Ellena (26. 06. 2011) where he states that in 1966 he made his debut as a 'builder' of racing cars in Bourg-en Bresse. He was 31 years old and together with his friends R. Grand and P. Penet in 1968 they started the construction of their third prototype from scratch and implanted an entire year: 1600 hours on lost days and weekends and an expenditure of 14, 500 francs on materials. The initial idea was to meet the demands of a racer who would supply him with a 2-litre Chrysler engine to take part in the Chrysler Cup championship, but later converted to a simpler NSU 1000 TTS in the class up to 1300 cc.
Initially named Gécko, later to become Geko for simplicity's sake, it was raced in uphill races at Montbrison, Nogaro, Mont Ventoux, Roanne, du Beaujolais, de Guè Chervais, Circuit Bugatti, la Chatre, 24 Heures du Mans (15-16 June 1974) piloted by F. Lolom. Passed into the hands of an expert collector in northern Italy in 2010, it was raced with success and curiosity at: . MONTE MADDALENA CLASSìC 2012 . ADAMELLO HISTORIC 'Montecampione Trophy' 2014 . 1st Memorial Nave-Caino-Colle di Sant'Eusebio (Brescia) . 50TH CAPRINO SPIAZZI 2016 . 2nd LANGHIRANO TROPHY 2016 . VERNASCA SILVER FLAG 2017 (155) and 2018 (152) . Ascent of the FANTASMA (Parma) and other major events. As the latest bodywork update, the light assemblies were applied to take part in the night endurance races.
