Here we have a great opportunity to get a French registered Ford Escort RS1600i at a very low starting price, finished in white with the original RS cloth grey interior. The vendor informs us that the RS came to the UK some time ago and has been in in long term storage since. It has just been lightly recommissioned and passed an MOT on 21/ 08/ 2024. As it is not UK registered we cannot HPi it, but it is accompanied by French registration paperwork and, being left hand drive, we believe it would be straightforward to take it back into Europe. As ever though, we highly recommend you come and view the RS and carry out your own investigation to satisfy yourself.
The specification appears to be factory standard with some nice details such as overriders on the bumpers, a good rear parcel shelf with no holes in it and correct stripes. A very nice feature is that it is the desirable non-sunroof model, which lends itself to become a competition car if that is your thing - it hasn’t been one yet it would appear. The RS comes with some invoices and receipts from France, its original French handbooks and service book, and the aforementioned fresh MOT, which all makes for a very interesting car. As we know, RS Fords are very desirable and one in this price range makes for a great purchase, whatever you decide to do with it.
