Description
We have great pleasure in offering this early Series II Morris Minor 'Split-Screen' affectionately known as Victoria who was born in 1954 dressed in her lovely Black coat complimented with red leather interior trim (the front seats have been re-upholstered and a slightly darker shade of red). The interior is in great condition throughout. Fully folding driver & passenger seats. Split-screen in great condition with good rubbers both front & rear screen.
Victoria drives very well with a good gearbox & clutch. She was treated to the desirable engine upgrade and the engine ticks over nicely and sounds great. Engine bay very clean. 'Banjo' steering wheel. Good Nangkang tyres all round. Semaphores present but have been disconnected in favour of period indicators on the front & rear. Over seventy years young this sprightly moggy is tax exempt and very economical to insure under classic insurance. Historic tax (free of course). MOT exempt (last MOT expired June 2022).
A very pretty, solid & characterful moggy that has been with the recent owner for nearly 14 years. In that time there are receipts for work carried out for nearly £15k pounds!!!!.
Date of first registration: 26/ 07/ 1954
Registration Number: 169 XWE
The boot pan, floor pans, chassis & spring hangers are all solid and in great order throughout. The door bottoms & boot lip are also in great order. There are a few imperfections to the paintwork in places but nothing major and perfectly presentable still.
This early Minor is a great investment and, of course, an enjoyment opportunity with loads of character and great for pottering down to the shops or the pub (for half a pint & a packet of pork scratchings!!).
We offer a fully transported nationwide delivery service at very great rates ~ please call for a price.
