Description
A very special Elan M100 SE Turbo, having been owned since new by a prominent and hugely respected member of the Lotus community. Sadly, it is only available now due to failing health.
Registered in March 1993, K569 JAH was a retirement present to himself, a Lotus staff member who was actually one of Lotus’ earliest employees, having joined in 1958 when the company was still based in Hornsey, North London.
Starting with the original Bill of Sale, the history portfolio fills three ring binders chronicling every expenditure, MPG calculations, every MOT certificate, most tax discs and comprehensive notes compiled by the owner over the years. The service history reads as follows…

Since coming in to my care, I have undertaken a comprehensive service, including replacement of the cambelt, thereby ensuring that the vehicle now wants for nothing and is ready to enjoy.
A regretful sale as the car has been enjoyed on a good number of overseas tours, often celebratory Lotus events or commemorations, UK-based rallies and displays and even the odd light-hearted competitive outing. Originally destined for a Far Eastern market, before being plucked from the production line by the owner, K569 JAH has the benefit of air conditioning and still has the original Blaupunkt Montreux radio/ cassette player, in full working condition. Full leather, a factory fitted alarm/ immobiliser and hood seals in a near-perfect condition contribute to making this car a truly outstanding example. Don’t be fooled by the lack of an SE badge on the back; it definitely is an SE but the Far Eastern market for which it was originally destined, specified it without.
