Description
The last example of the legendary E-Type rolled off the production line in Coventry in 1974. Its successor, the XJ-S, was to spearhead the fleet for even longer with a production time of over 20 years. The timeless design was created by in-house designer Malcolm Sayer. He had already designed the C-, D- and E-Type as well as the breathtaking XJ13. Initially, the XJ-S was only available with the aluminium V12, but towards the end of production it was also available with an in-line six-cylinder engine. Since 1972, the name Arten has been synonymous with the refinement of British luxury vehicles such as Jaguar, Range Rover and Bentley. To this day, the German car tuner optimises a wide range of Jaguar models on a visual and mechanical level. Conversions range from spoiler kits to high-end engine tuning. This XJ-S Cabriolet was delivered new to Switzerland in 1990 and optimised with Arden special parts by an official Arden representative at the customer's request. The conversion includes special side skirts and rear skirt as well as double exhaust trims. In addition, 17-inch Arden Borbet aluminium wheels were fitted. The Jaguar was lowered with a firmer suspension so that the driving behaviour also matched the appearance. To date, the XJ-S has only had 2 previous owners and a guaranteed 92, 000 kilometres on the clock. The car is still in our customer base today. Apart from normal signs of wear, the car is in very good original condition. The mechanics also work perfectly and the XJ-S drives wonderfully. Only the heating element under the dashboard leaks water and should be repaired or replaced. We are therefore offering the car very favourably on behalf of a customer. Otherwise, the car works perfectly. Like most Arden cars, this is an exclusive one-off. A beautiful Jaguar with a well-known history for the unorthodox taste. The car is being sold with a veteran's registration * Exchange possible*.
