Description
This is my unique 1981 T25, which has been recently restored after a period of inactivity when it was in storage. It is now classed as a historic vehicle and is tax and mot exempt. It currently does not have a MOT but passed the last one without any advisories and I am certain will do again. I am the 8th owner since 1981, and the original petrol air cooled engine has only covered just over 46, 000 miles. I have literally tons of paperwork just about every mot certificate, original handbooks and manuals, tax discs etc etc.
The bodywork has had a roof off and interior stripped out restoration, original decals have been made up and applied, all panels inside recovered before original interior was refitted and is in remarkable condition for its age, consumer unit was fitted to upgrade the interior electrics along with a new electric hook up and a new fridge was fitted (although I still have the original). there is a massive on board water tank under the rear seat/ rock and roll bed. The electric tap and 2 burner hob and grill all work as they should. Mechanically the whole vehicle has been gone through, new brakes and lines, new fuel lines and filter, new rocker cover gaskets and push rod covers, new heat exchangers / exhaust, new clutch master cylinder, new starter motor, wheels refurbished with new tyres and hubcaps. There is also new halogen headlights, and I have kept the originals. I have also fitted the fire extinguisher system over the engine bay fixed to the engine cover. All in all this is a very original T25 camper in very good working order and excellent condition. I have even refurbished the table for inside which acts as a parcel shelf when stowed. There is no rust on the bodywork and the underside is also rust free and was wax oiled last year. I will be very sorry to see her go but now need to recoup some of the huge amount of money I have spent on her. Any sensible offer considered. This is a one of a kind T25 camper, it was supplied as one from new from Volkswagen, it has a massive amount of paperwork and history, is very low mileage and has had all the work done and is ready to drive away and enjoy. It is a lovely drive albeit not the fastest van on the roads today. It will sleep 2 adults and 2 children comfortably. It's a bit of a time warp really taking you back to the eighties and has a period radio cassette to listen to your old favourites. I will be very sad to see her go as I love driving her and have taken her around the south of England last Summer from Cornwall to Kent. But I believe the time is right as I regrettably will be looking for something a bit newer as I wish to travel further afield and visit Europe. it's impossible not to fall for her charms and she really is in fantastic condition.
