Description
Capots Vintage, a specialist in sports and classic vehicles in Lyon, offers for sale a 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback 289Ci: A key icon in American motoring, the Ford Mustang first appeared in 1964 and quickly became a symbol of the 1960s. The fastback model, introduced shortly after the coupé and cabriolet versions, did not initially enjoy the same success as its counterparts. Over time, however, it became one of the most sought-after versions by collectors for its distinctive design and sportiness. We are pleased to present a superb 1965 fastback, delivered new in New Jersey. Part of the very first generation equipped with the original 289Ci 'Code C' V8 engine, our example is distinguished by its Mustang Shelby GT350-inspired styling, sporting an elegant Caspian Blue exterior, enhanced by a white covering, while its beige interior adds a touch of refinement.
During the restoration, a host of options were added to enhance performance and comfort, including a 5-speed manual gearbox, power steering, power disc brakes, Pony interior, 5-dial meters, fog lamps, Monte Carlo tow bar, American Racing aluminium wheels and many other features that make this a unique model.
