Description
1958 Jaguar XK150 SE Cabriolet : This is a wonderful British convertible from Jaguar. 10 years after the launch of the eldest member of the family, the XK120, and after the 140, the British luxury manufacturer unveiled the ultimate version of the XK series in May 1957: the XK 150. Our model is a Jaguar XK150 SE (Special Equipment) 4-seater convertible with a 3. 4-litre 6-cylinder engine developing 210 bhp and equipped with the overdrive option. This car was delivered new in September 1958 in Paris by the official French importer Delecroix: a particularly interesting car because in addition to its beautiful configuration and condition, it is completely matching numbers and colours with its mist grey bodywork and original red leather interior! According to Jaguar Heritage, this car was used as a show car, probably at the Paris Motor Show in 1958 or 1959, and we have an extensive and rare history: the last owner was given this car by his father in 1962 and kept it for almost 60 years! Thanks to invoices and documents of the restorations carried out, we can justify its mileage of 192, 200 km, which is extremely rare for a car of this age. The car has always been professionally maintained, and in 1989 it was taken to England to a recognised specialist for a complete restoration of the bodywork and gearbox. Although this restoration was carried out some thirty years ago, it remains in excellent condition today, a testament to the quality of the work carried out. The engine was rebuilt in 2004 when the car had 173, 914 km and has covered just under 20, 000 km since then. The red leather upholstery is original and has a magnificent patina. Only the dashboard trim and the carpets have just been restored (we have kept the original ones). A major mechanical overhaul has just been carried out in our workshops, so there is no cost to you to enjoy this superb XK. Photos and videos on request.
