Description
Our Heavy 12 Tourer was first registered on 30th January 1928 in Colwyn Bay, North Wales. We have the original buff log book showing the first three owners, she has had a total of eight, including ourselves. We bought the her on 18th March 2000.
She was restored from scrap in 1979 including a new ash frame, re-panelled body, new upholstery and a full mechanical overhaul after being found on a Welsh farm in 1977.
Since buying her we have maintained her regularly. A a new hood was fitted in August 2010 and a refurbishment of the rear suspension in 2011.
She is a lovely car to drive with a gate change gear box and pulls away very smoothly from around 5mph in top gear. We have used her regularly and she is a familiar sight at rallies in our area. She went with us on a trip of 200 miles to the Yorkshire Moors on holiday and performed brilliantly on the hills and dales around Whitby.
She has been used for weddings and School Proms and has just completed her latest assignment taking the Mayor round in the Wellingborough Carnival parade.
We have loved having her for 23 years but now need to sell due to insufficient space to store her. We hope her new owners will have as much pleasure from her as we have enjoyed.
