LOTUS ELAN S4 SE, 1970. An excellent, very reliable example in lovely order throughout I have owned this car for over 7 years.
Showing good oil pressure and running on re-built Strombergs the engine has had a re-bore with new pistons, valves, crankshaft etc. and the body has had a respray in French blue with photographic evidence. The chassis has been replaced with a Spyder type and a new fuel tank has replaced the old one. On buying the car I had new Rotoflex couplings installed all round.
The interior is a very nice place to be, the dash is perfect with no cracks, interior carpet excellent as is the carpeted boot with nearly new battery. Dunlop SP Sport tyres complete the package.
There is a superb history from 1970 to present day and it stretches to in excess of a lever arch file. Included are over 30 old MOT's and some very interesting letters from previous owners.
An MOT until next April with no advisories, ever, is also present. Over the past 7+ years and 3, 000 miles the car has proved to be very reliable,
Finally, I have just had the car given a check over, service and tune by a classic Lotus specialist and it is ready to go.
I believe I am asking a very fair and competitive £28, 950I bought this car as I have hankered after one since I was around 13 years old. I bought this example as it was the best I had seen. The best thing about it? Just drive it and you will see !
