Description
Excellent condition, full nut and bolt body off restoration several years ago and just over 1000 miles driven since. Engine rebuilt with a new QED head and SE camshafts. It has electronic ignition and an alternator fitted for more reliable starting and it had new Weber carburettors installed. All new wiring loom and has all the original brightwork re chromed. All the bodywork is original and it has its original chassis which I think is quite rare these days. The chassis was rust proofed before the body was secured back on. The seats are original and were restored by Alridge’s. The suspension was restored, everything was stripped and new seals were used, it has adjustable Gaz shocks at the front and poly bushes have been fitted all round. I have serviced this car myself since restoration, it is an easy car to work on. It has just has a new Mohair hood fitted and has a tonneau as well. The original radiator was re cored with a double fin construction to assist with cooling and the vehicle runs with a waterless coolant. It has a new clutch and flywheel fitted and has a stainless steel exhaust. I cannot think of anything that has not been restored or replaced. There is a large folder to confirm the restoration. The vehicle has a certificate of authenticity from the Lotus factory. This vehicle is an original British vehicle which in 1975 was exported to Texas, America. The vehicle was stripped and placed in a barn and never used. It was repatriated to the UK in 2014 where I decided to purchased it as I always wanted to restore a car.
