Description
In beige with a red interior.
A beautiful, four door split screen Minor which has only covered 21, 000 miles since new. It was purchased by a gent in Liverpool to run his elderly mother around and, as he preferred to use his bicycle for his own transport, it covered little mileage until is death in 1983 when the Morris had only driven 19, 000 miles.
The next owner barely used the car and it was purchased by an enthusiast in 1990 who commissioned a light renovation which included new front wings and an excellent respray. The mechanics were overhauled and the Minor won a prize at a Morris show in 1994. A new owner purchased the car in 2011 and has kept it ever since in his dry store as part of a small collection.
The interior is beautifully original and the paintwork remains in superb condition. The underside has never been repaired and is carefully Waxoyled. There is no evidence of rust on the car.
Mechanically, the original 803cc engine is fitted which purrs very nicely after a recent service and light re-commission.
An interesting and comprehensive history file accompanies the Morris with wonderful handwritten letters between the owners confirming the mileage, MOT certificates, lots of bills documenting the overhaul and neat sheets detailing every mile driven and every gallon used from 1956 until 1973!
There are Morris Minor pamphlets and newspaper cuttings, along with articles and information about the breed.
A superb Minor with a lovely provenance.
