We are offering for sale a Riley Nine (9HP) Special from 1932, a pre-war racing car with a German H registration and a Dutch registration. Technically, this Riley is in excellent condition and is ready for immediate use. The 4-cylinder 1085cc Riley 9 engine with 65 hp was extensively tested over a longer period of time and then installed in this racing car in 2023. The following work was carried out on this vehicle between 2022 and 2023: Cable brake completely overhauled and repaired (the brake was relined, all idler pulleys repaired and all compression/ tension springs renewed) All wheel bolts and studs were renewed Rear axle overhauled and repaired Front axle overhauled and repaired Engine and gearbox replaced Customised wiring harness installed The work carried out can be documented by means of pictures and invoices. The well-known Riley 9 "Cuthbert Special" served as the model for this special. The Cuthbert Special already competed on the famous race track (Brooklands) in Weybridge, England, in the 1930's.
