Description
I am the second owner of this beautiful 2002 Ducati ST4s and have owned it since March of 2013. The bike was purchased by the previous owner new from the local Ducati dealership with the uprated carbon exhaust system and chip ECU, as soon as the model was introduced. I purchased the bike with about 6500 miles on the clock. Prior to my purchase the bike was sitting at local motorcycle shop for about 4-5 years as the previous owner was not using it much. I got the bike started for the first time and unfortunately due to the extended non operational time the engine suffered from the main bearing whine (common fault on 996 engines when left unused for a long time). So it took quite a serious recommissioning work back in 2013, from complete engine bearings, seals etc and a lot of cosmetic work including some panel painting new decals etc. Babied ever since and enjoyed it while touring Europe which was a blast (!) and Cyprus. Back in 2019 it underwent again a major service including timing belts, front and rear suspension rebuilt, swing arm and triple trees rebuilt carried out, Angel tires fitted, chain & sprockets, brake pads front & rear, new clutch set and Rizoma clutch cover, brake and clutch adjustable levers, new handlebar grips, complete silicone hose coolant kit, and all engine sensors replaced with genuine parts. Electrical work also carried out. Still enjoying the bike to this day (whenever possible). Due to a newborn baby the bike now has to go to someone else who will enjoy it and baby it as much. The original silver Marchesini wheels were refinished in semi matte black powder coat. Bike comes with original immobilizer, original keys (black & red) and VIN card as well as the original tool kit. Original panniers come with the inner handbags. Buyer is responsible for all transportation and import duty costs where applicable. I used to own a Monster 750 which was a great bike for mountainous rides-not for touring! The ST4s combines everything together-a great sport tourer with the genuine panniers, while having the power of a 996. Superb combination of the two!
