Description
A very original example with a beautiful patina throughout. With only 57 thousand miles on the odometer it runs and drives well on a fairly new set of parabolic springs. The engine ticks over nicely with no knocks or unwanted noises and the gears shift well. Everything works as it should and it has recently had a minor restoration of the interior and the wheels have been painted in heirloom white. It has had 5 former keepers and was originally registered in Anglesea, Wales in 1973. It was partly restored in the early 2000's and received a patch on the bulkhead. I have had it inspected by a top bodywork shop and was advised to leave it as there is no sign of rust. The chassis has recently had a small patch near the exhaust but is otherwise in excellent condition. It is MOT and Tax exempt and there is nothing left to do on the vehicle other than enjoy it. If you're in the market for a Series Land Rover, this is the one to have. The 2. 25 petrol in the SWB is the perfect combo. The next level up for desirability is the pickup cab version, so this ticks all the boxes. This vehicle has beautiful patina and is an authentic, original and honest vehicle with low milage which will keep on going for 50 more years. I wish I could hold on to it as they're only becoming more valuable, however I currently need to reduce my fleet to just one Land Rover at a time. I personally think the SWB Series 3 is the best looking Land Rover there is.
