A Genuine factory built original Land Rover County Station Wagon.
This Land Rover was previously the subject of a ground up rebuild and at the time was fitted with a new chassis as well as having a body overhaul and quality respray in the original Masai Red colour with contrasting Limestone roof and side panels.
(We now have the correct County decals fitted as can be seen in one of the pics)
This one being a 1982 model has the 5 bearing 2. 25 petrol engine which starts well and performs smoothly out on the road .
The manual gearbox changes gear nicely having synchromesh on all 4 gears and this is accompanied by a Fairey Overdrive which gives an extra gear for higher cruising speeds. (similar to a fifth gear in modern vehicles)
This land rover steers nicely and is fitted with a servo as well as the larger front brakes and so is a pleasure to drive .
The interior is in great condition with a very nice original dashboard and County front seats trimmed in the correct material and these are fully adjustable and are fitted with head restraints
The original centre cubby box is present as well as the correct original under dash ash tray .
Also the roof lining is original and is in great shape with only one small mark on it .
All in all this is a great Land Rover and is a credit to its previous doctor owner and suitable for a wide range of uses.
As with all the Land Rover's that we sell this classic Land rover will go through our workshop prior to sale where it will be serviced with safety and reliability in mind .
