Hello, L'atelier des 1000 is pleased to offer for sale this Land Rover 88 Series 3, registered in 1972. Mechanically, it is in very good condition. A basic service has been carried out for the sale, including an engine and filter change, gearbox change, spark plugs and a brake service. The engine has been replaced by a 5-bearing, which is reputed to be more reliable. It starts easily, with no noise or smoke, and has full power. The exhaust silencer is new and made of stainless steel. The chassis has had sheet metal work carried out, and is in good condition and free from corrosion. The axle end seals have been replaced to ensure a good seal.
The vehicle is fitted with disengageable hubs at the front, which puts less strain on the 4X2 mechanics and reduces the forces in motion. The front tyres are in good condition, and we are replacing the two rear tyres for sale. The brakes have been refurbished, including replacement of the wheel cylinders and the front and rear brake blocks. A number of rigid hoses have also been replaced.
